Two shot near NE 25th Terrace

Press release from Gainesville Police Department
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – At approximately 10:49 p.m. tonight, GPD officers were dispatched to the area of 1100 NE 25th Terrace, in reference to a call about a person who had been shot. Officers arrived on scene and located two subjects who had been shot. Officers rendered aid until EMS arrived and transported the subjects to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
This is an active investigation. Any updates will be provided at a later time.
We are asking members of the community with information regarding this shooting to please call 352-955-1818 or Crime Stoppers at 352-372-7867.
Well the NE and SE is where majority of the poverty is in alachua county….
The racial statistics for these areas don’t look to good Powell…

The problem is culture. There are lots of poor people who are not shooting each other.

In fact the FBI’s own statistics show exactly who is doing what as far as crime:
Blacks commit 72% of all crime in America.
Blacks commit 52% of all murders in America.
All this and blacks are only 13% of the population.
It’s pretty clear from the FBI’s own data what and who the problem is. But being clear and truthful is not in the leftist narrative thus, we don’t talk about it and we don’t do anything about it.

All sorts of programs, task forces, and meetings and nothing changes. Let’s get tough on these folks it may say lives, even their own. Guns are not problem it us the lack of leadership in that part of town. Where is Rev Sharpton, where is NAACP? Only thing they’re good for is point fingers. Save these children out shooting each other. Commoners should be walking these neighborhoods at night and seeing the problems. But starting with mayor they are cowards. Well I believe Evelyn has her hands in a lawsuit over GRU I guess they cannot do two things at once, or as I said before the elite really don’t care, but say they speak for their community. What I see first hand is that they do not speak for their community, and I know be cause I do live in one. Start from scratch, then just maybe things will turn around. As it is now the shooter(s) will be out on ankle monitors before supper.

Dear lou: You miss the point while naming it. “hospital, coroner, courts, law enforcement, lawyers, and jail & corrections too.” Hundreds if not thousands of college graduate middle class folks making a high salary off the taxpayers due to the crime. If crime disappeared tomorrow, thousands of newly unemployed local folks would default on their mortgages in nice west Gainesville suburbs. The entire economy depends on crime to keep thousands of “good people” employed. Getting rid of crime would cause a depression. You want that?

Was the gun used previously STOLEN by chance? Is that location a food desert, too?
Let them thin it out amongst they selves. From what I see on alachua chronicle, they just doing their thang. Let the bullets fly in Se and Ne Gainesville. Why even call the police? Just leave ASO/GPD alone when shots rang out. Call the ambulance if needed, but our boys in blue and green can’t really do much anymore. See, these kids stayed home for two years during the COVID-19 days, and their parents just let them “go out and play” & run the skreets, with no direction for their future.

It’s the comments that got me. Everything always about race, especially from a certain few on here who always got something negative to say and just have to racial profile just because the side of town. There are a lot of retired people who have worked hard and own their houses in Lincoln Estates!!! I know quite a few. So there’s nothing poor about it. It’s poverty on all sides and all races shoot just not one group.
