UF says threatening emails are a hoax

Staff report
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida Police Department (UFPD) has issued a Public Information Bulletin about emails that were received today at the University of Florida and other universities nationwide; the emails threatened a shooting at the college “in protest of illegal activities at the hospital.”
UFPD says they believe the emails were sent by Jonathan Amit, who lives in Israel. Amit’s family reportedly said that Amit is in “a declining medical/mental state” and has no means to travel to the United States or carry out the threats.
An email sent to UF employees said that the emails contained “threats of violence and despicable racist images.”
Anyone receiving emails from Amit should contact UFPD at 352-392-1111.
Good job by law enforcement to quickly investigate and deem the threats a hoax. Hopefully it will relieve any stress.
Most likely another attempt to discredit the Jewish people as a whole. Where do these evil idiots come from. This guy is probably not even a real person.
The silliest thing is that most of the colleges (including UF) are all closed for the semester … I mean I know these disgusting anti-semites are stupid but they don’t have to keep proving it ….
Extradite this lunatic to the US to stand trial. In the mean time his family needs to restrict his internet access since they are aware of his condition.
“Declining medical/mental state” is not an excuse to commit multiple felonies.
