Unattended fire destroys RV, tractor, and an acre of woods
March 30, 2026
Staff report
LACROSSE, Fla. – An unattended fire yesterday destroyed a recreational vehicle and a tractor, along with about an acre of woods.
At about 6:51 p.m. on March 29, crews from Alachua County Fire Rescue and the Lacrosse Fire Department responded to a fire off of State Road 121 near NW 290th Avenue. A fire that was left unattended spread to burn down a tractor and a recreational vehicle, along with almost an acre of woods.

Reality check: conditions now are extremely dry. With the ongoing burn ban there should have been no fire, unattended or not…That thing could easily have gotten away, been hard to stop
Hopefully a hefty fine will be ordered to the property owner.
Breaking bad?
That is just across the river from Worthington Springs
FD did an amazing job of getting that fire contained in the current conditions.
