Press release from City of Gainesville
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The City of Gainesville’s Wild Spaces & Public Places program and Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department are pleased to announce that construction of the new restroom at Unity Park (1700 NE 31st Ave.) is complete and open to the public. The project cost was $231,675. AKEA, Inc., a local minority, service-disabled veteran-owned contractor, facilitated the project.

Maybe community leaders can get the homeless to stop using sidewalks and building entrances to relieve themselves and use the new facilities.
Gender neutral in a public park? Are they insane, or just feeding the human trafficking wing lobby?
OMG those metal water fountains are going to take an absolute beating.
Did they put any surveillance cameras up so they can catch the hoodlums when they vandalize (burn, like they did at Veterens Memorial park) the bathroom?
How soon until a homeless person takes it over as their new home?
Just think of the legal activities that will transpire in those restrooms 🚻 city hall strikes again!
confused as to why restrooms need a keypad lock? couldn’t they just lock them with a key when the park is closed instead?
