  • Congratulations High Springs for getting out to vote. Better days are ahead with a new majority on the Commission.

  • Sometimes you kick the bear, and then sometimes the bear kicks you!
We have taken back an out-of-control commission, and the City can begin to heal. Real dialogue and no longer the Ross express of 4-1 voting. Silent Gloria will probably learn to talk again.

  • Congratulations to our new commissioners! We look forward to your leadership for our city.

  • Steve Tapanes filed for BANKRUPTCY! Do we not care about that?!? Good God, I pray for High Springs. We think it’s bad now… Steve Tapanes is a liar and a fraud. Lord help our budget.

Actually, he’ll just agree with whatever Katherine says, so we’re good…?!

  • I live in Alachua not High Springs. Saw campaign signs at the intersection of 236 and 441. Can anyone shed light on the political leanings of either candidate? Were conservatives or liberals just elected?
