Volunteer applications are open for Hoggetowne Medieval Faire

Press release from City of Gainesville

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Hear ye, hear ye, nobles and gentles!

The success of the Hoggetowne Medieval Faire depends heavily on the commitment of dedicated volunteers, and we need your help to make this year’s one-weekend event as spectacular as ever. Join us in the spirit of merriment and camaraderie as we embark on this unique adventure at Gainesville’s Depot Park in celebration of 38 years of grand tradition!

We are looking for volunteers from Wednesday, Jan. 22, to Sunday, Jan. 26, for a variety of positions at the faire.

We look forward to seeing you at the faire!

  • Tell us again how easy it is for people who can’t walk long distances, with or without a cane or walker. Like how far it is just to get to the gate. And how much will it cost to park and enter the festival

  • Too bad! If the GNVCC wasn’t involved, people might help out! People are tire of seeing “others” get free sh** and themselves doing the work! FJB, GNVCC and AC BOCC! Let the AC/GNVCC Commissioners get out there and earn some of their bloated salaries by sweeping up pi$$ and Sh!! after their constituents!

  • The midieval fair used to be ok, now just a bunch of weirdos parading around. All I remember is it being over priced and under delivered. Maybe some of the new Gainesville ambassadors can direct traffic for you.
