GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Tevin Octavius Campbell, 31, was arrested early yesterday morning following an anonymous report of a wanted person at an apartment in Phoenix.
When Gainesville Police Department officers arrived, they knocked on the door and made several loud announcements; they reported that they could hear movement inside the apartment, but nobody answered the door. A woman eventually answered the door and reportedly said Campbell wasn’t there. The officers asked all the occupants of the apartment to come outside, then made more announcements asking Campbell to surrender, including an announcement that a K-9 would be sent into the apartment.
Campbell was found by the K-9, hiding in a plastic bin and covered in clothing. He was charged with resisting arrest without violence in addition to his outstanding warrants for battery and violation of probation. Campbell is described as a career offender and is being held without bond for violating probation; he is being held on $160,000 bond on the other cases.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.Â
I am surprised he is not ROR already…. catch and release program.
