Waste Pro Gainesville Division Manager Named 40 Under 40 Winner

Press release from Waste Pro USA

Waste Pro’s Gainesville, FL Division Manager Nathan Frischkorn has been named a recipient of the prestigious Waste360 40 Under 40 Award. The national award “recognizes inspiring and innovative professionals under the age of 40 whose work in waste, recycling, and organics has made a significant contribution to the industry.”

Nathan has been with Waste Pro since he was a teenager. He started working on the back of a residential garbage truck at just 16 years old and continued to work through high school, taking online and evening classes.

Nathan has seized every opportunity to learn, taking on daily tasks and operations to keep the division running smoothly, working on multiple types of routes including recycling and roll-off, and even serving as a mechanic.

As Division Manager in Gainesville, Nathan oversees services to thousands of residential and commercial customers, including the city of Alachua. He is actively involved in the community, including the Alachua Business League, Alachua Chamber of Commerce, Greater Gainesville Chamber of Commerce, Hawthorne Chamber of Commerce, and North Florida Apartment Association. He is also an active Young Professionals Member of the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA).

“Nathan is one of the most tenacious people, not just in Waste Pro, but in the industry. His strong work ethic led him to an early start to his career before he even graduated from high school,” said Northeast Florida Regional Vice President Brian Wintjen. “His exceptional maturity and leadership will undoubtedly pave the way to future management positions in his career.”

Nathan will formally accept the 40 Under 40 Award in May during Waste Expo, the annual waste industry conference.
