Press release from Waste Pro

GAINESVILLE, FL – The publisher of Gainesville’s HOME Magazine and founder of the annual Fierce Awards of Greater Gainesville is thrilled to include Waste Pro’s Dayna Miller among this year’s Fierce Award honorees.

Fierce recognizes inspiring, game-changing women in the Greater Gainesville region. Scott Costello, the magazine’s CEO, Publisher, and chair of the awards, shares, “I have known Dayna for over a decade and think she is incredibly deserving of this recognition. We are thrilled to honor this amazing woman.”

Dayna is the Director of Government Affairs for Waste Pro’s North Florida Region. She exemplifies what it means to represent Waste Pro and shows her commitment to caring for our communities in the organizations and groups she is involved with, above and beyond her 9-5 job. She inspires others around her to not just clock in and out but become an integral part of the local community. She encourages others to rise to the occasion by showing up and making a difference.

On top of her “regular” job, she is a Commissioner for the City of Alachua, a current Recycle Florida Today board member, and is active in several other community organizations. Last year, the Lions Club International Foundation recognized Dayna as a Melvin Jones Fellow, and the local Gainesville Elks Lodge honored her with its Distinguished Citizenship Award in 2022. Dayna and other outstanding members of this year’s Fierce Honor Class will be featured in the upcoming HOME: Monthly Guide to Greater Gainesville magazine.
