Whistle Express Car Wash opens new location on Tower Road, free car washes next weekend

Press release from Whistle Express

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Whistle Express, a car wash committed to providing all customers with a premium wash experience through technology and innovation, is opening its second location in the Gainesville market this week, and to celebrate, it will host a grand opening event with free car washes, discounted memberships, and a $1 donation to the University of Florida’s cancer research program for each car through the wash. The grand opening event will kick off this Friday, Feb. 9, at 7496 SW 13th Rd (off Tower Road).

Community members are invited to join in the festivities this Friday from 10 to 3 p.m., when guests can enjoy interview opportunities, giveaways, and more.  At noon, the car wash will host a ribbon-cutting with members from the community.

In partnership with the University of Florida’s Link for Pink fundraiser for breast cancer research and awareness, Whistle Express will donate $1 from each car through the wash toward the cause, up to $2,500. Additionally, through Sunday, Feb. 11, guests can enjoy a free wash, the exclusive chance to join the Wash Club at a reduced rate of only $10 per month for the first three months, and as an added perk, those who enroll in the new Whistle Express app during this period will gain a $10 credit, redeemable for a free wash or applicable toward the first month of membership. Whistle Express will be open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

This is Whistle Express’ second location in the market. The other, which opened earlier this month, is located at 16093 NW 163rd St. in Alachua. With this opening, Whistle Express is proud to contribute to the Gainesville community by adding 20 new jobs to the market.

“There’s just something about driving around in a clean car that makes everyone feel on top of the world,” said Garrison Miller, Regional Vice President, West Territory. “We believe everyone deserves those small wins, and our team is ready to deliver that feeling of victory to Gainesville-area drivers.”

Each Whistle Express wash is designed to clean, shine, and protect vehicles by offering a quick service experience that’s a cut above the rest. Leveraging the latest and most effective tunnel equipment, Whistle Express gets a car squeaky clean in under three minutes and provides customers with free high-powered vacuums, air nozzles, spray cleaners, and clean microfiber towels to ensure each auto sparkles inside and out. Add affordable and effective protective treatments to any standard wash to maintain each clean and protect the car from bugs, pollen, and other elements. Whistle Express’ innovative technology also reclaims up to 85 percent of water used during a wash and uses an average of 91 percent less water than a standard at-home wash.

Formerly known as Magnolia Wash Holdings, Whistle Express announced last month that all 100+ locations in nine states will now operate under one unified brand. Future plans include adding dozens more to the portfolio in the coming months. Last year, the brand partnered with Oaktree Capital Management to support the brand’s aggressive growth plan.

  • What is up with the explosion of car washes around town? I cannot water my lawn on certain days of the week but these places can go through thousands of gallons of water all day every day?

  • If the area is supposedly trying to increase its “walkability”, why are they also building so many car washes? Seems contradictory.

  • Carwashes and mattress stores are well known fronts for money laundering but I am sure this carwash, right down the street from the other one is on the up and up.
