Would be nice to have a “Honest” reporter from local TV news ask these Commissioners questions. Would they answer or run away. Only way expose the money wasted in County and City. How about a tour of the Dis-Grace Center. No police escort either. Just a late evening tour. Harvey can go out and eat supper with them. Maybe guest appearance from Rodney Long. Remember the ten-year plan to eliminate homelessness. Maybe we need a local Podcaster like the one that exposed the fraud in Minneapolis.
It shouldn’t cost $1,000, 000 /yr for a jail phone system… I can make unlimited phone calls on my cell phone for $50/month.
I guess you don’t understand the difference between consumer and business telecommunications. Look at your contract btw … you may think it’s unlimited, but its not.
This should be a non-partisan issue. Normal people do not want tax dollars wasted on this.
Even most liberals would agree–they would prefer to waste it on something else of course, but let’s find agreement where we can.
This program is the perfect example of the poor judgement and reckless fiscal irresponsibility of the Alachua County Commission. The program needs to end immediately and these people all need to be recalled from office.
