Williston man killed in single-vehicle accident

ARCHER, Fla. – A 33-year-old Williston man was killed last night in a single-vehicle accident on CR 241, north of Archer.
According to a release from the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was driving a pickup truck southbound on CR 241 when the truck partially drifted off the roadway. The driver oversteered the truck to the left, causing it to travel back across the roadway and onto the opposite shoulder, where it hit several trees and came to a stop within the tree line.
Neighbors reported that they heard a loud noise around 9:30 p.m. last night, but the truck was not discovered until this morning. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene by Alachua County Fire Rescue.
