Woman arrested after allegedly stabbing man with glass and setting fire

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Samantha Sofia Frank, 22, was arrested this morning after allegedly setting a fire outside an apartment, forcing her way in, stabbing the resident with a piece of glass, and smearing blood on an officer. She has been charged with aggravated battery, battery on a law enforcement officer, arson, and burglary of an occupied dwelling.
According to a release from Gainesville Police Department, at 6:45 a.m. this morning, GPD officers responded to the Hideaway Apartments at 2800 SW Williston Rd. They discovered that a female suspect had intentionally set a bundle of papers and cloth on fire and then knocked on the victim’s door. When the resident opened the door, the suspect forced her way in and kicked the burning bundle into the apartment. As the victim pushed her outside, she stabbed him in the shoulder with a piece of glass, causing a deep laceration. The suspect also had cuts to her hands and smeared blood on an officer’s pants and arms upon detention. GPD stated that it doesn’t appear that the suspect and victim know each other, and no motive has been identified.
Frank has no local criminal history.

My guess is this person has some mental health issues and the compassionate comments never cease to amaze me. The conservative christians really do love and have compassion for all people. I pray that none of the loving commentors ever have a mental health moment that gets in the paper.
