Woman arrested for armed burglary and aggravated assault
Staff report
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Anna Maria Freeney, 26, was arrested yesterday and charged with armed burglary of a dwelling, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and property damage.
Freeney was allegedly in a third party’s residence when the victim arrived and told Freeney to leave because she was not supposed to be there. The victim told a Gainesville Police Department officer that Freeney was holding a 6-inch kitchen knife and that Freeney made physical threats against her while saying she knew where she lived.
Freeney allegedly threw a metal caulking gun and a plastic toy at the living room window, breaking it and causing about $300 in damages.
The owner of the residence told the officer that Freeney did not have her permission to be inside.
Freeney has a juvenile conviction, eight adult felony convictions (one violent), and two adult misdemeanor convictions (none violent). Last August, she was arrested for property damage and drug possession while she was on probation for battery on a person over 65 and property damage; she served nine months in jail on those charges. May 2023 charges of grand theft and grand theft of a motor vehicle were later dropped. She has served one state prison sentence for cocaine possession and was released in 2020.
Bail information is unavailable on weekends.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.Â
Looks like Freeney can be a meany at times. Too bad she’s a difficult learner as well.
Career criminal. One felony average per year of adulthood. And the only penalty so far has been a nine month jail term. This is called wrist slapping, a favorite tactic of our liberal left Democrats. Just like their real cities like LA SFran Portland Seattle, Minneapolis Chicago St Louis NYC Baltimore DC. And the list goes on.
“Knife violence” must have caught it from the “gun violence” crowd.
Prediction: After eating catered snacks all weekend at the Hilton, Gainesville commissioners will order Lowes and Home Depot to cease selling caulking guns. “We have solved the caulking gun danger to the citizens of Gainesville.”
lol thats a good one
