Woman arrested for battery on man who is dating her ex-girlfriend

Staff report

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Danetria Lasha Flagg, 29, was arrested yesterday and charged with burglary and battery after allegedly shoving a man who is dating her ex-girlfriend and pushing her way into an area at BPL Plasma that was designated for employees only.

At about noon on May 23, Flagg reportedly went to BPL Plasma, at 150 NW 6th Street, because her ex-girlfriend had said she was dating someone who worked there; Flagg also reportedly went to the business on previous days but was not able to identify the man.

Flagg allegedly harassed the man and asked why he was “talking to” her “lady.” The man tried to defuse the situation, but Flagg allegedly shoved him and asked him to come outside and fight her.

The victim tried to retreat to a back area that is designated for employees only, but Flagg allegedly forced her way into the area and refused to leave. She then allegedly shoved the victim and other employees who were in the area.

Flagg reportedly returned to the business later that afternoon and again the following morning, resulting in multiple calls for service from the business.

The victim was shot at about 10 p.m. on the evening on May 23 while in the company of Flagg’s ex-girlfriend; that incident is still being investigated.

Flagg has no criminal convictions; she has previously been charged with battery, property damage, carrying a concealed firearm without a permit, burglary, and theft, but charges in all three cases were dropped. Bail information is unavailable, but Judge David Kreider recommended bail of $65,000 when he signed the arrest warrant.

Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

  • Is it any wonder she’s her ex?

Can’t fix crazy any more than you can stupid. Oftentimes, like this, they go hand in hand.

  • Let’s see how soon Walter Green changes her bond to an ROR and lets her right back out

  • Crazy as a bed bug. Cant handle the ex girlfriend wants a man now. Given her past criminal action she will end up killing someone.

  • There’s plenty of fish in jail. She probably wanted to get locked up with a bunch of horny females.

  • This is why plasma centers should be relocated to the edge of town, not in the middle of our *fair* downtown.

  • It would be nice for a media company to put the SA’s feet to the fire and make him explain why there are so many dropped cases. Then ask the chief judge why the low bails for people with criminal histories of violence or gun law violations.

  • “…she has previously been charged with battery, property damage, carrying a concealed firearm without a permit, burglary, and theft, but charges in all three cases were dropped”

How in the world did that happen?

    • Because she threatened to k… them too. She is past crazy and has alot of firea…

    • Because she did the something to the ex new partner also. Out of fear they dropped the charges. She is really a loose cannon with bigggg fire power. Multiple ones at that. All I can say is runnnnnnn

    • If someone was poppin at you everytime they leave work you would drop the charges too.
