Woman arrested for threatening man with knife after being asked to pay rent
Staff report
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Lashika Shorne Sease, 39, was arrested yesterday and charged with aggravated assault after allegedly threatening to kill a man who asked her to start paying rent.
The victim told a Gainesville Police Department officer that Sease, whose address is listed as GRACE Marketplace, has been a tenant at the residence on NE 11th Street for about three months, and when he told her she would need to start paying rent at the beginning of November, she said she didn’t have to pay anything, adding, “I’ll call the cops and tell them you beat me up and have you sent to jail.” The victim said Sease grabbed a butcher knife from the kitchen and walked towards him, yelling, “I’ll kill you.”
A witness reportedly saw Sease walking out of the kitchen holding a butcher knife and walking toward the victim. Another witness also saw Sease walking toward the victim with the knife.
Sease has three felony convictions (none violent) and two misdemeanor convictions (none violent). She has served one state prison sentence and was released in 2009. Judge Thomas Jaworski set bail at $10,000.

She dnt look like she belongs at Grace market place Lord 🙏🙏🙏you have to pay to be there I throught it was a homeless shelter wow wht is it that you have to pay for beds or something 🤦🏽♀️
This didn’t happen at GRACE. I updated the article to make that clear – thanks for the comment.
Hello, Jennifer Cabrera, welcome to the comment section of one of your features!!! I sure do wish you had what it takes to get an answer from “GRACE” as to when this particular “Client” was issued an ACCHH #, ask for a peek at her internal service record, ( such as the # of services provided, meals eaten, and her daily living conditions before was she discharged, or trespassed from Grace’s custody. I also wish to know who is the property owner and whether are they aware of the background of their tenants. Did they all use to live at Grace? do the others in the home have criminal records? Did this woman admit she was knife in hand, offering to take lives?
Nah don’t worry, the people of Gainesville that actually work and contribute to society are the ones who foot the bill. You’re right though, she doesn’t belong at Grace, she belongs in prison
Along with the ones in the country who is stuck paying in to their piggy bank GRU
Dude, read. Two eyes two ears and one mouth.
Someone tried to help her out. She is too entitled to pay him rent. If she listed a real address the government would 1 know she had a shelter, cutting her handouts. 2 be able to find her should she do anything illegal or crazy. 3 be able to send her government mail that may require her to be accountable in some way.
Nobody pays for Grace Market that lives there. You and I pay for this help that isn’t helping.
What’s the street address and is it owned by a lawyer or judge landlord? People like this shouldn’t be inviting other streetwalkers to move in, neither. The landlord has to pay the extra utilities that entails. But, we all know who the *real* landlord is, right fellow taxpayers? 👹👹🤡🤡🍦🍦🍦D
Jeff, fess up. What is you gripe with “lawyers and judges”. It ain’t natural.
David Letterman-Amen!! That guy needs help, as he has a serious obsession with lawyers. Probably took the LSAT and didn’t get into law school. The comments are constant. I usually scroll and roll, but this dude’s obsession is overbearing!
Give her a one way bus ticket to California when she gets out of jail.
How dare he ask her to pay her rent? Didn’t he know she is “entitled?”
Been typing about the whole entitled thing for a while now.
Go to Wal-Mart, and just take a few minutes and “observe” their employees work ethic.
Better yet, observe when people check out of Wal Mart.
I make pretty good at my “full time job”, and I cannot get over $180.00 – $200.00 worth of groceries to spill over the top of my shopping cart, and I have tried……
But there are those who can …. Somehow…..🤔
Here is another one.
Once upon a time, before the “digital” speaker, you can hear long fingernails, tapping the touch screen through the old microphone/speaker system in the drive through at checkers off E University.
Want another example?
Observe the employees of Dollar General. 🤣
SAVE MONEY, SAVE TIME, and there is some entitlement in DG!
Just one more 🤔
Visit any office run by the COG, and/or Alachua County.
Entitlement.
How bout “dignity and effort”.
This is the big white house behind circle k…if you have nothing to do just ride pass there it is a haven for drug junkies and the guy who wanted the money is on drugs big time ….
Yeah, he went to Grace and “drug” someone home wit’em. 🤣
