GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Dorrell Kashiwada Clark, 25, was arrested last night and charged with aggravated child abuse after another woman reported a bruised lump on the forehead of a 5-year-old.

The woman reported to Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputies that she noticed the wound on his forehead on November 17 when she picked him up from his mother’s residence. She said he told her he was playing with his toys when Clark got angry and threw a glass bottle that hit his head. The child reportedly said that Clark was “acting silly” and had been drinking from the bottle before throwing it at him.

Deputies reported that the child had an area of raised bruising about half an inch by two inches in area that appeared to be several days old. The child also reportedly had scabbed areas on an eyebrow and in the center of his forehead. The child reportedly provided a consistent account of the events in a forensic interview performed by the Child Protective Team. Medical staff also reportedly found injuries on the child’s back and upper buttocks that the child reportedly said were from “whoopings” administered by Clark.

The witness reportedly told deputies that this isn’t the first time she has seen injuries on the child.

Clark has a juvenile criminal history and was charged with domestic battery in 2020, but the charges were later dropped. Bail information is unavailable.

Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

  • That child does not need to be in that home. I hope the child gets the help he needs. She needs help as well. What a sad situation. She has a history with police. Get that boy some help!!

  • Her previous lawyer should be forced to refund the fees “earned” from releasing her from similar prior offenses. Lawyers do this to INCREASE their legal fee income streams, to pay off their own student loans faster. And the public suffers from future repeat offenses. 🤡👹😡

  • The child is being taught that violence is acceptable discipline. The abuse will be passed on to the next generation as well. This is why our streets are filled with violent offenders. All problems start at home.

  • In her photo she looks unwell…. Is she drunk or high? Who knows how long this child has been enduring this? Our children are our future…what we have running in our streets; robbing, porch pirates, mail theft …this is the new gen….are the parents proud at what they have raised?

  • Screw her. I hope someone beats her ass in jail and she never has access to that baby again. Scum like her don’t deserve children.
