Woman charged with pointing gun at two people

Staff report

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Terriyana Latesia Bradshaw, 19, was arrested early this morning and charged with two counts of aggravated assault after allegedly pointing a gun at two people.

At about 12:30 a.m., a Gainesville Police Department Officer responded to the Cabana Beach apartment complex, where the victims said they had opened the door after Bradshaw knocked. The victims said Bradshaw pushed her way into the apartment and began arguing with the female victim, her former girlfriend, over the presence of the male victim. Both victims said they asked Bradshaw to leave, and the male victim said he pushed Bradshaw in an attempt to get her to leave.

Bradshaw reportedly left but came back a short time later and went back inside the apartment, where she began arguing with both victims, telling the female victim to “get him out before I do something.” Bradshaw allegedly pulled a gun from her waistband and pointed it at the male victim, saying she would “pop” him. The victims said Bradshaw pointed the gun at both of them, then grabbed the female victim while the male victim grabbed his keys and ran out of the apartment while calling 911.

The responding officer reported that Bradshaw was leaving the apartment when he arrived and that before he made contact with her, she ducked down behind a vehicle. A handgun was reportedly found in that area a short time later.

Post Miranda, Bradshaw reportedly admitted to brandishing the gun but said she did not point it at either victim, and she only did it after the male victim pushed her. She reportedly said that the handgun found near the vehicle was hers.

Bradshaw has no local criminal history, but a sworn complaint was filed against her in August 2023 for allegedly taking a friend’s phone and pawning it at an ATM that accepts phones. Another sworn complaint was filed in January 2024 after more than 25 grams of marijuana, along with a scale and baggies, were reportedly found in her car after a traffic stop; she reportedly said a friend left the marijuana in her car. Charges in both cases were later dropped.

Judge Kristine Van Vorst set bail at $10,000.

  • Wow, someone needs some mandatory anger management classes. And some jail time.

  • Another lesbian that likes to pull guns on people..this seems to be the new ‘thing’ in Gainesville.

  • Yawn, these too will probably be dropped in the next few months.

    • I think its a machine that you can find at some Walmarts and such that you put an old phone in and it scans it, erases it and gives you cash. I got $65 for an old phone this way.
