Woman charged with sexual battery of young child

Kareena Louise Jones, 27, was arrested yesterday and charged with sexual assault on a victim less than 12 years old and lewd and lascivious behavior.

According to court documents, Jones is credibly accused of “assisting her paramour in sexually battering” a child who was 4-5 years of age, in addition to other allegations of sexual abuse. Jones has previous arrests for battery and child abuse but no convictions.

The State Attorney recommended that she be held with no bond on the sexual battery charge because it is a capital offense, but the court set bail at $1,100,000.
