Woman on probation charged with child abuse and assault after allegedly urging group of juveniles to fight

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Ari’elle Arianna Scott, 29, was arrested yesterday and charged with assault, child abuse without great bodily harm, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor after allegedly driving a group of juveniles to another juvenile’s house and trying to get the juveniles to fight.

The victim told the responding Gainesville Police Department officer that she had gotten into a fight at school on August 25, and on August 26, Scott drove six juveniles to the victim’s home, where Scott and some of the juveniles yelled profanities at the victim and two of her friends and told them to “Come out and fight, don’t be a coward.”

The victim said Scott stood outside her fenceline for about 30 minutes, trying to get the juveniles to fight; she reportedly recorded some of the “yelling and screaming.” After some time, Scott and the juveniles got back into her vehicle and left.

After they left, the victim and her friends reportedly received text messages from Scott and one of the juveniles, saying the victim was a coward for not fighting, and Scott allegedly wrote that she would “f*** them up” and “I ain’t afraid to go back to jail.”

The officer reported that Scott said she wanted to meet in person to give her side of the story, but he wrote that she did not answer her door or her phone.

The victim and her friends reportedly said they were afraid Scott would come back and try again to fight them.

Scott has two felony convictions (none violent) and three misdemeanor convictions (two violent); she is on probation in two cases and was also booked for violating the terms of her probation by failing to complete a treatment program and testing positive for opiates and cocaine. Judge Aymer “Buck” Curtin ordered her held without bail on the two violations of probation and set bail at $30,000 on the new charges.
