Woman sentenced to 4 months in jail for trying to hit a man with her car
Staff report
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Tiara Danielle Miles, 32, has been sentenced to four months in jail, followed by five years of probation, after entering a plea of nolo contendere to domestic battery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
At about 6:23 p.m. on November 13, 2025, Miles went to the victim’s workplace and argued with him; the argument eventually turned physical, and Miles pushed the victim and slapped him, leaving a laceration behind his ear. As the victim walked away, Miles got into her vehicle and tried to hit the victim with her car. Miles was arrested on November 24 and released after posting $90,000 bail, but she failed to appear at a hearing on January 15, so a warrant was issued for her arrest.
At about 2:40 p.m. on November 29, 2025, a Gainesville Police Department officer responded to a parking lot at the corner of NE 23rd Avenue and N. Main Street, where Miles found the victim sitting in a car with another woman. She started arguing with the victim, got into the car, and allegedly started hitting and kicking the victim; she then allegedly picked up a glass bottle that was full of liquid and smashed it over the victim’s head, breaking the bottle.
The officer reported that the victim was covered in liquid and had an injury behind his left ear. The officer charged her with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, noting that the thick glass bottle could have easily killed or severely injured the victim. Miles was not at the scene when the officer arrived, so a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Miles was arrested on January 23 on warrants for both cases. Today, she entered a plea of nolo contendere to domestic battery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the November 13 case, and the charges in the November 29 case were dropped.
Judge James Colaw adjudicated her guilty of domestic battery but withheld adjudication of guilt on the felony charge of aggravated assault. Judge Colaw sentenced her to 120 days in jail, with credit for 15 days served, followed by five years of probation. She is required to undergo a mental health evaluation within 45 days of release and complete any recommended treatment on the first try.

Weaponized a car, that is registered, and updated every year, along with the suspect having a license to drive. At least she have one of those barking guns, or a machete to commit the assault. Imagine the outcry.
I wonder what her car insurance company thinks about this….Oh nevermind….lol.
You go girl! Making ‘history’ during your month! Awesome!
