Woman who allegedly shot at car full of children re-arrested after judge revokes bond on previous case

Staff report

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Jerrica Lashay Armstrong, 28, was re-arrested yesterday after Judge David Kreider revoked her bond on child abuse charges.

No details are available about the child abuse incident, which allegedly occurred in August 2021. Armstrong was arrested on September 13, 2021, and released on $125,000 bond. While on pre-trial release, she was arrested on March 20, 2023 (video here) for shooting at her on-and-off girlfriend and a car full of children. Judge Walter Green set bail at $175,000 with a condition that she be fitted with an ankle monitor upon release, and Armstrong posted bail on March 24.

On March 27, prosecutors filed a Motion to Revoke Bond, arguing that Armstrong had violated multiple conditions of her pre-trial release, including contact with the victim, committing a crime, and possessing firearms. Prosecutors argued that Armstrong’s “continuing criminal behavior… presents an ongoing danger to the persons and property of the State of Florida.” On March 30, Judge Kreider revoked her bond, and a warrant for her arrest was issued.

Armstrong is now being held without bond.

Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

  • Crazy ppl believe whatever they hear.. There was no gun found no evidence of a gun one victim heard a shot and one victim didn’t see a gun nor heard a shot… It’s more to this story

    • Did she violate the court order “no contact” with the victim. If she did “enough said”. Violated and bond revoked. People need to learn that once they get in criminal trouble for a relationship, the relationship is probably over and move on.

      • Per the police report:

“It should be noted that an active Pre-Trial Release Order, signed 09/14/2021 by the HON JUDGE WALTER M. GREEN bars the DEFENDANT from being at, or residing within the residence located at 17030 SW 141st PL or from possessing firearms.”

    • Linda: tell us the rest of the story…did they get its pronouns wrong?

  • Why are we just hearing about this a month after her latest arrest?
