This used to happen all the time where I grew up in southern Florida. There were times when I would have to wait in the school cafeteria for a storm when school let out.
What are we teaching kids by closing their schools for an afternoon severe thunderstorm? We’re teaching them to be snowflakes. The schools are probably safer buildings than most of their homes which likely have tall trees around them.
Global Warming, yes storms happen. As adults people should know what to do. Closing schools now working parents need sitter. Or miss work or leave child unattended.
Union County schools’ website says they will be closed today and will reopen on “Wendsday”. 🙄
Do you think there still doing trash pick up?
No announcements have been made about trash service, so it will likely happen.
No it won’t! Gainesville is a joke! Stop wiping peoples butts and holding their hand when they cross the road, Darwin people!
I’m from S. FL, we have severe storms pretty much daily without any interruptions to daily life. Wake up fools it’s called progressive liberalism, you are too stupid and weak to think for yourself, Gainesville is a tore up place.
