Two ACPS students earn awards in Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Two Alachua County Public Schools (ACPS) students earned awards in the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in Los Angeles, which drew nearly 2,000 young scientists from 75 nations this year.
Nathan Wei from Buchholz High took second place in the Chemistry Division, while Abhith Kasala of Gainesville High took third place in Earth and Environmental Science. Sophia Rong from Buchholz also represented ACPS in the ISEF competition this year after being named a grand award winner in Mathematics and Computational ScienceĀ in the Florida competition.
